Privacy Policy

Last Updated:  April 04, 2026

At Freeflow: Daily Mindfulness, we are committed to protecting your privacy and building trust, especially as you use our app to support your mental health and well-being. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share your information when you use our mobile application (“App”), website, or related services (collectively, the “Service”).

We treat your data—particularly information related to your mental health, trauma, moods, and personal reflections—with the highest level of care and respect. We do not sell your personal data.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Personal Information you provide directly:

  • Account details: Name, email address, username, password, and date of birth (if provided).
  • Profile information: Gender, age, or other optional details you choose to share.
  • Mental health and wellness data: Mood logs, journal entries, notes on childhood trauma or emotional experiences, responses to guided mindfulness exercises, progress tracking, and self-reported insights.
  • Communication: Messages or feedback you send to our support team.

Automatically Collected Information:

  • Device and usage data: Device type, operating system, IP address, app version, and interaction details (e.g., sessions started, features used, time spent).
  • Analytics data: How you navigate the App, crash reports, and performance metrics (collected via trusted tools like Google Analytics or Firebase, where applicable).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: Small files that help us remember your preferences, analyze usage, and improve functionality.

Sensitive Information: Mental health data (e.g., trauma-related reflections or mood patterns) is considered sensitive. We only collect what is necessary for providing personalized mindfulness guidance, progress tracking, and app features.

We do not collect precise location data unless you explicitly enable it for features like local reminders (and you can disable it anytime).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and personalize the Service (e.g., recommend daily mindfulness practices based on your mood logs or trauma-informed exercises).
  • Track your progress and help you build healthy habits for mental well-being.
  • Improve the App through analytics and user feedback.
  • Communicate with you (e.g., updates, support responses, or important notifications about your account).
  • Ensure security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Conduct internal research to enhance mindfulness features (data is anonymized where possible).

We do not use your mental health data for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal or mental health data to third parties.

We may share information in these limited cases:

  • Service Providers: With trusted vendors who help operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting like AWS, analytics tools, or email services). These partners are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request (e.g., to comply with valid legal processes).
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred (we will notify you in advance where required).
  • With Your Consent: For any other purpose, only after obtaining your explicit permission.

We do not share identifiable mental health data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on servers located in [specify location, e.g., secure data centers in the EU or US]. We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption (in transit and at rest), access controls, and regular security audits to protect against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Mental health data receives additional safeguards due to its sensitivity. However, no system is completely secure—please use a strong, unique password and enable any available two-factor authentication.

We retain your data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your data (see Section 6).

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your data:

  • Access and Correction: Request a copy of your personal data or correct inaccuracies.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data (note: some anonymized data may remain for analytics or legal reasons).
  • Opt-Out: Disable certain data collection (e.g., analytics) or withdraw consent where applicable.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (where legally required).
  • Objection: Object to certain processing of your data.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or other regions with similar laws (GDPR/CCPA/CPRA), you have additional rights under applicable data protection laws. We respond to such requests promptly.

To exercise your rights, contact us  privacy@freeflowmindfulness.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests.

You can also manage many preferences directly in the App settings (e.g., notifications, data sharing).

6. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

7. International Data Transfers

If you are located outside [your primary country, e.g., the US], your data may be transferred to and processed in other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) are in place for such transfers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App, on our website, and/or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
